hey, as long as adobe continues to decipher raw formats for use in their adobe camera raw plugin, i'm happy.

Adobe just settled they wouldn't support the last Nikon RAW format, fearing to be sued by Nikon under the (stupid and undemocratic) DMCA.

Maybe you should think twice before being locked into proprietary formats and start looking for open source solutions...

My understanding, from the Adobe forums, is:

The DNG standard itself has no trouble supporting the latest Nikon cameras.

Adobe will support them in s/w "soon", including the DNG Converter.

But Adobe won't decode the WB because of DMCA problems, so the resultant DNG file won't identify it properly.
