I intend to use my Canon D60 as long as possible and plan on one service during its lifetime.
A friend of mine still uses his D30 and there we see how important third party support ist as Canon doesn't support it anymore.

Canon still support the D30's Raw.
I believe the issue is that some of their software that never supported the D30 has not been updated to support the D30, and Canon say it never will. (DPP?)
But they still have other software that supports it.
