the data in the RAW file i.e. the photograph belongs to the photographer and as the result he or she should be able to process these data in any software he or she wants. One can also combine films and photography papers from various manufactures and this should work for RAW files and converters as well. The camera producers should convince us to use their software by arguments and not by behaviour like this.
