As a D30 owner I now find that Canon no longer support this camera in their latest RAW conversion program, DPP.

The one application that you should be able to rely on for support is the one supplied by the manufacturer.

If they were to support a common format, all updates and bug fixes would apply to all cameras so us loyal customers would see benefits too.

Luckily I still have a choice of 3rd party applications, but even here the obsolete files have taken a back seat for fixes and updates.
