I am for OpenRAW in a big way. It makes sense for archival purposes. But beyond that, I don't feel that I currently own my own my images. I consider my archived RAW files my digital negative. If I must use one manufactures image processing software, my legacy is at risk. If the camera manufacture decides to lock me into that software by encrypting a portion of my RAW digital negative (as Nikon has recently done), then I can no longer consider that RAW format as having any value to me. I need the format to be open.
