OpenRAW

The only way to stop manufacturer encryption is to push for a single, Open RAW format.
We, as photographers, have always been concerned about our images, and those of us who care about quality hold RAW as essential to achieving this quality. BUT, we must also be allowed to achieve this in any way or means we deam necessary FOR US. This means not being held dependant on a manufacturers conversion software simply because it has been encrypted for marketing or commercial gain.
I strongly support an open RAW platform, and would seriously consider switching loyalty to those manufacturers who also support and endorse such a format.
