I own a Canon digital camera, and I...

I own a Canon digital camera, and I support the work of the OpenRAW Working Group.

The RAW file is the digital world's equivalent of a photographic negative. I, for one, would like to continue to be able to use my digital negatives well into the future. DNG format (or some other equivalent) will be required in order to make digital photography viable for the future. I would appreciate it if Canon would take a leadership position with respect to this important issue.

If Canon continues to have proprietary RAW standards, but its competitors offer DNG format, I will no longer be able to continue to be a Canon customer. I will purchase one of their competitor's products instead.
