RAW Standardization is not realistic for camera companies that have developed and continue to develop a format they legitimately own. I'm sure mechanics would love it if cars all used the same parts, but is Audi going to throw away it's Quattro technology and adopt a "standard engine" because that makes it easier for mechanics? Digital camera manufacturer's will continue to use their particular RAW format as a selling point for their product and develop it in conjunction with their software and SDK's to best suit the photographers who own their products.
