OpenRAW

I do not want my raw files to be obsolete just because I can't get the software needed to decipher them. A raw file contains more information then the .jpg so it only makes sense that a photographer will save his raw files for as long as he lives. What will the young man, who is starting out in photography today, do in 20 years with his portfolio of raw files? Where's the gunarantee from the manufacturer that he will support his raw format forever!!! We need one open standard that can grow with the industry and provides both forward growth and backward compatibility or conversion.
