A person builds a house with certain basic tools. The tools don't own the house or determine the end result of the construction, the carpenter does. So should camera manufacturers produce tools that allow a universal product to be constructed by the photgrapher and not limited by the instrument.

I want to choose my camera based on quality of the instrument and not on the output format of some proprietary file format. As a matter of fact I will always choose an "open format solution" camera over one that has a proprietary file format output.
