RE: Brand encryption of RAW files: This type of brand-exclusive "marketing" is highly unethical. It can be compared to buying a car for $40, only to find out that it comes without tyres, and the only tyres that will fit are those sold by the manufacturer of the car for $5000 (and too bad if you don't like them or don't suit the roads you walk on). Ten years ago this kind of maneuvering by a manufacturer would have been unacceptable. Why has it become less so?
