I co-own and operate Jones House...

I co-own and operate Jones House Imaging Specialists in Toronto, Canada. I deal with images every day, including raw images, and problems come up all the time. Certain programs can open multiple RAW formats but without openly documented RAW file formats, they occasionally produce inferior results when compared with the proprietary software.

Proprietary software is usually horrible - poorly designed, not very intuitive, slow, and it only handles the manufacturers native format. Not to mention the possible lack of file format support we'll all be faced with years from now.

I would love to live in a world where I could choose one program that fits my busy workflow and use it for all raw formats all of the time. As it stands right now, I usually have up to three or four raw processing programs open at one time. This just won't do. Things must change.

Support OpenRAW.
