I prefer the power and ease of 3rd party raw converters that are dedicated to imaging software (such as ACR or PhaseOne). The camera manufactures make great cameras but sub-par software. Camera manufacturers should stick to cameras, not raw conversion software. Release your image formats so that other established software companies can make life easier and more rewarding for users of your cameras. You'll sell more cameras.
