OpenRAW

I own the image I create and I believe I own the data in a RAW file that describes that image.

As a Nikon D2X user I am very upset at Nikon for encrypting its "As Shot" white balance data. Often for creative purposes I use a custom WB which by normal standards would be viewed as incorrect or bad. Given that I own the image and data that describes that image I don't believe Nikon has the right to lock me into their software to accurately access MY data. I should be free to use the tools that let me best create the image I envisioned.
