We are talking to the wrong people. What we need to do is organize to get laws passed state by state that require ALL products that create digital files use only documanted file formats. Yes even word processors. Call it the "Anti Digital Dark Age" act. Without it no one in 50 years will be able to read anyhting may in 2006. The problem is much wider then just photography. Take a look at www.oasis-open.org they have the exact same issues.
