image data is no different from any other kind of user data. What's really needed is consumer protection legislation that enforces a blanket requirement that amy product that allows the user to digitally store data must come with complete documentation of the file format used. I know I'll be labled an extreemist for saying so, but if you really think about it, what's so alarmingly unreasonable about demanding to be able to read your own data?
