Most software either does not support (konica)minolta mrw or only supports mrw files from all except the newest camera's.
Microsoft RAW viewer does not support MRW.
Each new KM camera has a slightly different MRW file format.
KM does not do much to spread information about MRW file formats.
KM bundles bad software and offers optional (=expensive) better software.
KM was the first to market a real 3d geometry photo camera (3d1500) and also was the first to abandon support of this expensive piece of equipment.
