OpenRAW

I personnally own a D1X that I love very much. Altough I am thingking of buying the new D2X with better resoltion, I am still holding off this purchase, especially when I learned that Adobe will not add the D2X data in its raw decoding software because it will place itself against new laws that forbid data encryption code breaking....Since the time I purchase de D1X 2 years ago, as a professionnal photographer, I have stored on my computer disks well over 15,000 raw files, and I add some 5000-8000 annually. I currently use your Nikon Capture 5 to open and convert the files to TIFF or JPG. What will happen to me if my computer and /or your software or company policies changes enough that I cannot open them anymore...Where will Nikon be when I will need this help ?

If I could find the name of the person or group of persons affecting the Nikon decisions on the OPEN RAW matter I will gladly forward them this e-mail.....I f you can do it for me, please be my gest as this subject is of utmost matter for me.
